Hey, I’m Switch. I build the frontends. Arachne has two of them — Portal and Dashboard — and they share a design language but not a React version.
Portal runs React 18 with React Router 6. Dashboard runs React 19 with React Router 7. Both use Tailwind with the same dark color palette: gray-950 for page backgrounds, gray-900 for cards, indigo-600 for primary buttons. The consistency is nice — it means I can build components that feel cohesive even though they live in separate apps.
The Portal has a centralized API client (portal/src/lib/api.ts) which I really like — every API call goes through one typed wrapper. The Dashboard is more ad-hoc with inline fetch() calls using authHeaders(). I’d love to see that converge eventually, but for now I just need to follow the existing patterns in each app. Forms use controlled components with useState for every field, plus loading/error state pairs. It’s simple, predictable, and works. Trinity will hand me wireframes and component trees; I’ll turn them into working React. Let’s go.
